SURFACE TREATMENT CHEMICALS GUIDE FOR COLOR COATING ON GALVANIZED/GALVALUME SURFACE

ADVANTAGES OF ALKALINE CLEANING:

Alkaline cleaning removes organic soils such as rust preventative oils and lubricants. Multi-metal cleaners reduce or eliminate etch on all non-ferrous metals such as galvanized, galvalume and aluminium surfaces.

In addition, cleaners are specially designed to reduce foaming and provide maximum cleaning effectiveness.

DEGREASING CHEMICALS

ETCHINOL S 1121

It is a low foaming strong alkaline liquid metal cleaner for spray cum dip degreasing of ferrous metals prior to hot dip galvalume line, alsofor cleaning and activating galvanized steel strips prior to chromate conversion coating.

ETCHINOL S 1125

It is a low foaming mild alkaline liquid metal cleaner for spray degreasing and activating of galvanized steel strips, galvalume and aluminum prior to chromate conversion in color coating line.

ETCHINOL S 1128

It is a zero foaming alkaline liquid metal cleaner for spray degreasing and activating of galvanized steel strips, galvalume and aluminum prior to chromate conversion in color coating line.

PREFERRED CONVERSION COATING PASSIVATION CHEMICALS

ADVANTAGES OF CONVERSION COATING:

Conversion coating enhances the corrosion resistance property on the pretreated galvanized, galvalume and aluminium surface. It also helps inhibit the under-paint corrosion creeping process that in turn increases the object life.

Conversion coating reinforces the bond between the paint film and the surface.

Since it is a single treatment process and does not require post rinse, it avoids additional effluent treatment and reduces the expenses for running the process.

GALVATREAT 300

It is a single-package treatment used over G.I. strips, galvalume, aluminium to produce a uniform conversion coating which improves adhesion, inhibits corrosion, and increases the durability of paint finishes.

GALVATREAT 1300

It is a non-hexavalent chrome passivate chemical used over G.I. strips to produce conversion coatings suitable prior to continuous color coating. It is applied preferably by roll-coater.
